ChanPoker
joined the Ongame Poker Network in March of 2007. With other popular
rooms such as PokerRoom.com,
HollywoodPoker.com
and MansionPoker.com
also on the network, traffic at ChanPoker is very strong. With 25-28,000
real money players during peak hours, finding the cash game or tournament
of your liking is rarely a problem. Using our links and ChanPoker bonus
code (chan1), new players can get one of the biggest bonuses available
anywhere! Our ChanPoker
bonus allows players to receive a bonus of 100%, up to $1,000.
ChanPoker
offers heads-up tournaments and sit-n-go tournaments with 5, 8, 10,
20, 30 & 50 players. They run guaranteed tournaments in the $500
- $25,000 range daily, with buy-ins that range from $1.10 - $33 for
the vast majority of them. Even the $25,000 guaranteed can be bought
into directly for just $33. ChanPoker hasn't been running any freeroll
tournaments yet, but an executive at ChanPoker.com has told us that
freerolls will be starting any day now. Also, satellites for major,
live events will be starting in November '07. We've been told that there
will be WPT, WSOP, and EPT satellites running thoughout the '08 year.
As you can see, ChanPoker is moving along quickly and they seem to be
poised for a huge breakout year in 2008.
Cash games at ChanPoker are pretty soft, even in the higher stakes games.
Traffic is always good during peak hours, better than average off-peak.
The lobby shows players / flop %, hands per hour, and average pot size.
The rake % is within industry standards, with the maximum rake capped
at $3 per hand regardless of the pot size. ChanPoker uses a no flop
- no drop policy, which means that if no flop is seen, no rake is taken.
Be sure to use a ChanPoker
Promo Code when you sign up.
ChanPoker
software is Windows / Mac / Linux compatible and has an optional no-download
version for all users. Everything functions well and disconnects are
rare. The graphics at ChanPoker are nice. If you're familiar with any
of the other poker rooms on this network, they all look similar. There
are a lot more sound effects than at most other rooms. The dealer talks,
the players talk, everyone talks. We don't really care for all the table
chatter, so we like that there's an option to turn all this stuff off.
All in all, ChanPoker is a room on the rise - no doubt about that. They
seem to be making a lot of smart moves, and they're constantly making
the site better. Add this huge bonus and soft competition into the pot,
and you've got a pretty easy choice. Give 'em a try!
